中国学生英语冠词加工实证研究  

An Empirical Study of English Articles Processing by Chinese Learners

摘  要:本研究采用强制选择测试任务,探究中国学生在强、弱语义语境下英语冠词选择的敏感度问题,并对Tania et al.的“浮动假说”进行验证,同时探讨强、弱语义语境对中国英语学习者冠词加工的影响问题。研究结果表明:第一,在弱语义语境条件下,高中组没有在“冠词选择参数”的两个特征值之间浮动,而初中组则在“有定性”和“有指性”两个值之间浮动,而且冠词缺失在冠词偏误现象中占据主导地位;第二,在强语义语境条件下,高中组和初中组皆在“冠词选择参数”中的两个值之间浮动,而且在强语义语境条件下,学习者对英语冠词的使用情况好于弱语义语境。研究结果部分支持“浮动假说”,强语义语境对中国英语学习者冠词加工具有促进作用。The current study is an empirical study,using forced-choice elicitation tests to examine the sensitivity of English articles choice by second language learners in both strong and weak semantic contexts,and to verify the“fluctuation hypothesis”proposed by Tania et al.Meanwhile,the study also aims to explore the impact of strong and weak semantic contexts on English articles processing by Chinese English learners.The results show that:1)Senior high school students do not fluctuate between the two features of“article choice parameter”,while junior high school students fluctuate between the definite and specific features in weak semantic contexts,and the omission of articles is dominant among the article use error categories;2)Both senior high school students and junior high school students fluctuate between the definite and specific features in strong semantic contexts,and the choice of English articles in strong semantic contexts is better than weak semantic contexts by Chinese middle school students.Therefore,the research results partially support the“fluctuation hypothesis”,and strong semantic contexts can promote the processing of English articles by second language learners.
