摘　　要：王威是20世纪河南现代美术史中重要的画家、美术教育家和美术活动家,也是"中原画风"建构过程中公认的领军人物。他在艺术求学过程中力求贯通中西画法,坚守现实主义创作路径,其艺术成就主要集中在版画方面,兼擅国画山水,画风中正、朴茂,深沉大气。另外,王威对河南省高等美术教育事业,及中原美术文化的发展作出了突出贡献,研究和追思他的艺术人生既是致敬贤达,也具有一定的现实意义。Wang Wei was an important painter, art educator and art activist in the modern art history of Henan in the 20th century. He was also a recognized leading figure in the construction process of " The Central Plains Art Style". In the course of his art study, he integrated Chinese and Western painting methods and adhered to the realistic creation path. His artistic achievements were mainly concentrated in printmaking. He is also good at Chinese landscape painting. The painting style is moderate and pure, sublime and noble. In addition, Wang Wei has made outstanding contributions to the higher art education in Henan Province and the development of Henan art culture. As an example, the study and remembrance of his artistic life is not only a tribute to the sage, but also of certain practical significance.
