摘 要:朱迪斯·巴特勒的理论路径曾被玛莎·纳斯鲍姆郑重质疑。后者将之定性为文体矫揉造作、故作高深,思辨违反学术规范,著述殊无创意,无益于社会实践。巴特勒以“文化转化”之说回应之。这场论争有关巴特勒理论路径的合理性,但国内外学界对此仅做描述,鲜有深入探究。巴特勒之“文化转化”含反常规文体和“法国理论”美国化两部分。反常规文体是为挣脱既有话语体系的桎梏,化用“法国理论”意在解决美国社会问题,其实效性为女权运动进展所证明。“文化转化”逻辑严谨度或有不足,但瑕不掩瑜。Seriously criticized by Martha C.Nussbaum,Judith Butler's theoretical paradigm was labeled as pretentiousness,mystification,and her writings anti-academic conventions and short of originality,which scarcely empowers feminist movements.Butler defended her practice as“cultural translation”with no systematic formulation.Although this contestation is crucial to establishing the paradigmatic legitimacy of Butler's theory,few scholars from China or other countries spared no effort to probe into essence of the conflict except presenting some phenomenological description about it.The truth turns out to be that Butler's“cultural translation”involves two parts:anti-conventional writing style and Americanizing French theories.The first was employed to dismantle the traditional gender discourse,the latter solved the proper social problems in US.The power and effectiveness of Butler's endeavor has been increasingly justified by the feminist movement,which seemingly dwarfs Butler's violation against current academic procedures.
