从生态翻译学看“职业技术学院”校名英译的乱象与规范

摘　　要：职业技术学院是职业教育和高等教育的结合,本质上属于专科层次的高等职业教育。本文针对职业技术学院英译的各种乱象,通过比较英语国家相同层次学院的特色和校名,运用生态翻译学理论,提出职业技术学院翻译的方法,提升翻译质量和规范。Vocational and technical college is the combination of vocational education and tertiary education.In essence it belongs to non-bachelor degree higher education in terms of level of education.This paper examines the chaos of English translation of vocational colleges,compares the characteristics and naming rules of the counterparts in English-speaking countries and offers alternative translation to improve the translation quality and standardization on the basis of eco-translation theory.
