The Impact of Senior Management Turnover on Enterprise Innovation

摘　　要：本文利用2007—2017年非金融上市公司数据,实证检验高管变更对企业研发产出的影响,结果发现高管变更使得企业当期专利申请数量显著下降,其中发明专利申请数量和实用新型专利申请数量的变化较大。异质性分析表明,大规模企业、非国有企业,在发生高管变更时企业的研发产出变化更大。机制分析则发现,高管变更主要通过减少企业研发投入的渠道,抑制了企业的研发产出。Based on the data of non-fi nancial listed companies from 2007 to 2017,this paper empirically tests the impact of senior management change on Enterprise R&D output.The results show that senior management change makes the number of patent applications decrease signifi cantly in the current period,including the number of invention patent applications and utility model patent applications.The heterogeneity analysis shows that the R&D output of large-scale enterprises,non-state-owned enterprises changes more when senior management change.Mechanism analysis shows that the change of top management can inhibit the R&D output of enterprises mainly through reducing the R&D input.
