论高校图书馆档案文献的收集、整理及意义——以哈佛燕京图书馆恒慕义与恒安石档案资源建设为例

摘　　要：一个图书馆的精髓在于其馆藏资源。虽然中国高校图书馆越来越注重发展特色资源,但在众多特色资源中,中国高校图书馆对于档案文献的建设还较为薄弱。实际上,中国高校图书馆所处的高校环境为图书馆发展档案资源提供了众多有利条件,这类资源建设非常值得业界关注与实践。本文以哈佛燕京图书馆对恒慕义与恒安石档案资源建设为案例,一方面介绍了该批档案文献寻访与整理的过程与要点,另一方面论述了该案例对中国高校图书馆发展特色资源的一些启示。The collection is the essence of a library.University libraries of China lay more and more emphasis on the development of characteristic collection,but the university libraries of China are still weak in the construction of the archival documents among many characteristic resources.In fact,the environmental factors which the China university libraries own have provided a number of favorable conditions for them to develop archives resources,so the construction of such kind of resource is very worthy of librarian’s concern and practice.This paper,with the case of construction of Arthur William Hummel,Sr.and Arthur William Hummel,Jr.’s archives in Harvard-Yenching Library,on the one hand,introduces the processes and points in seeking and sorting out the batch of archives,on the other hand,aims to explicate the enlightenment of the case on the development of characteristic resources in university libraries of China.
