海外华人文学在外国文学研究中的定位与误区

摘　　要：文章对“华人文学”的概念和范围、“华人文学”在外国文学研究中存在的意义以及研究的价值,做了详细阐述。海外华人文学在文学区域的研究分类中,一般分为以中文研究学科为主的“华文文学”和以外国语研究学科为主的“华人文学”。长期以来,由于华人作家写作特征的复杂性、多元化和身份意义上的不确定性。特别是双语写作作家的不断出现,造成了研究学者对“华人文学”和“华裔文学”及其“华文文学”关系与概念的模糊,存在着对文学区域划分和研究对象上的某些“混乱”。特别是外国语专业学科对华人文学研究存在着“定义”和“方向”上的不明确性及误区,甚至存在着忽略的现象,也造成这一方向研究的薄弱情况。This study aims to expound the definition and the range of Overseas Chinese Literature and the significance and its research values in foreign literature.Studies on Overseas Chinese Literature at large fall into two categories in regard to their research areas,with one known as the“Chinese Literature”research in the Chinese Language and the other known as the“Chinese Literature”research in foreign languages.For a quite long running period of time,this phenomenon of simple rough division has caused quite a mixed bag of definitions or even misunderstanding mainly owing to several distinctive characteristics of Oversea Chinese writers:their complexity,diversification,and uncertainty of their identities.Furthermore,with an incessant emergency of authors writing in both Chinese and foreign languages,it is getting harder for researchers to come to grips with differentiating these divisions and catalog them properly,thus causing some overlap blur in their relations.Overseas Chinese Literature is even uncharacteristically ignored in both domestic and international foreign language studies due to its ambiguity between its definition and direction.Therefore the research has been quite weak even not well-established in this aspect.
