摘　　要：卫聚贤是1949年前考古学界一位重要的人物,他不仅对江南地区的吴越文化考古有开创性功绩,还编写过两本考古学史专著,对近代考古学的发展做出了特殊贡献。尽管如此,卫氏始终没有得到以李济为核心的主流考古学界的认可,甚至被排斥为考古圈的"票友"。究其原因,乃因其受王国维和梁启超的学术影响而对传统古器物学的治学理路有系统地吸收。当近代田野考古学大行其道时,卫氏以其宏阔的视野尝试将古器物学与田野考古糅合而成整体意义上的中国考古学。由是,卫聚贤在考古学范畴、与古器物学关系、田野发掘方法、考古报告撰写、考古宣传和推广诸方面都形成了自己独特的认识。他的这些认识与主流考古学界存有较大差异,加上卫氏与古器物学界往来频密,造成主流考古学界对他们愈加排斥。Wei Juxian was an important figure in the archeological circle before the founding of the People's Republic of China.He achieved groundbreaking results in archaeological studies over Wu Yue Culture in the south of lower reaches of Yangtze River,wrote two monographs about history of archaeology,and made specific contributions to the development of modern archaeology.Nevertheless,Mr.Wei was never recognized by the main archaeological community with Li Ji as the core and was even excluded from the archeological circle as an"amateur performer",because he was academically influenced by Wang Guowei and Liang Qichao and systematically attracted by ideas about traditional ancient artifacts research.When field archaeology was very popular in modern times,Mr.Wei tried to integrate ancient artifacts research and field archaeology into all-round Chinese archaeology with his own broad vision.As a result,Wei Juxian formed his own unique understanding of archeological categories and their relations with ancient artifacts research,field excavation methods,writing of archeological reports,archeological publicity and promotion,etc.But his knowledge in those aspects is quite different from that in the main archaeological community.And Mr.Wei had close contacts with people engaged in ancient artifacts research.Consequently,they were increasingly rejected by the main archaeological community.
