摘　　要："双一流"建设背景下,高校间的竞争日趋激烈,提升大学在高等教育中的核心竞争力成为当下研究的一项重要课题。大学文化性格是大学组织受社会挑战、文化环境以及自身认知选择的影响而形成的个性心理特征。大学文化性格的影响因素包括社会挑战、文化传统、文化冲突和大学人的文化性格,其表现形式为大学的物质文化性格、大学的制度文化性格和大学的精神文化性格。大学文化性格为解释大学核心竞争力提供了新的理论视角。Under the background of“Double First-Class”Construction the competition among uni⁃versities is becoming increasingly fierce,so it has become an important research topic to improve the core competence of universities.The university cultural character is the personalized psychology character of the higher education institutions influenced by social challenges,culture environment and its own cognitive choice.The influencing factors of university cultural character include social challenge,cultural tradition,cultural conflict and university people’s cultural character.Its manifes⁃tation forms are the material cultural character,university institutional cultural character and the spirit cultural character.The cultural character of universities provides a new theoretical approach to explain the core competence of university.
