语境翻译模式下中国外交文书英译动态研究——以中国人权白皮书英译为例

摘　　要：白皮书是由政府发布的重要的官方文件,具有特定的外交和政治目的,其文本特点是庄重正式。本文针对1991年以来中国政府发表的人权白皮书的中英文本,依据语境翻译模式,从文化语境方面探讨社会、历史、文化因素对中国外交文书文本术语英译动态过程的影响,从文本语境方面分析英汉文本表达的特点与差异,并在英译本的纵向动态变化中进一步阐明我国外交文书英译策略、原则与方法。White papers,as the important official documents issued by governments,are of particular diplomatic and political motives with a style of solemnity.The English versions play an important role in external publicity.Based on the Chinese and English versions of China’s white papers on human rights since 1991,and in accordance with the mode of contextual translation,this paper is to explore the effect of the social,historical and cultural elements on the English translation of the text and terminology of Chinese diplomatic documents from the perspective of cultural context,to analyze the features and differences between English and Chinese versions,and further illustrate the strategy,principles and techniques in the Chinese-English translation of the Chinese diplomatic documents in the light of the dynamic changes of the English versions.
