Habenula,a potential central target for glucose metabolism in type 2 diabetes

摘　　要：The role of the habenular nucleus(Hb)in the pathogenesis of depression has been thoroughly studied,but whether it functions in the pathogenesis of diabetes remains unknown.In this study,type 2 diabetes(T2DM)rats,which induced by the high-carbohydrate and fat diet combined with STZ were employed.The functions of Hb were suppressed by application of electrical lesion.Compared with the sham group,the expression levels of AMPK phosphorylation and insulin receptor were significantly increased,whereas glucose-6-phosphatase and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylated kinase was reduced,in the liver of the Hb lesions group.
