摘　　要：《晃来晃去的人》是1976年诺贝尔文学奖获奖美国作家索尔·贝娄创作的第一部长篇小说。它以日记体的形式记录了二战期间芝加哥犹太青年约瑟夫入伍前的人生经历和内心生活。本文通过分析小说中的芝加哥城市社会空间以及犹太移民的家庭生活空间书写,揭示犹太移民在反犹主义浪潮以及犹太教日渐式微现实的双重作用下,所遭受的身份危机,表达出"晃来晃去"的约瑟夫们对于共同体的强烈憧憬。Dangling Man is the first novel by Saul Bellow, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1976, which is based on the personal journal of Joseph, a Jewish Chicagoan and where the state of being of Jewish-Americans is presented in the urban and domestic spaces. This paper examines those typical spaces in Dangling Man and concludes that the novel unfolds the identity crisis experienced by Jewish-Americans as unacceptable aliens in the face of the cultural decline of their commonly shared Judaism. It also expresses the Jewish immigrants’ craving for a community in hard times.
