美国普通图书馆有什么可资借鉴之处——以密苏里州开普吉拉多的两所图书馆为例

摘　　要：近些年来,我国学界对于美国大城市的大型图书馆研究颇多,但是对于构成一个国家图书馆绝大部分的普通地方图书馆和普通大学图书馆研究尚少,究竟这些图书馆怎么样,对于我国普通图书馆的建设有什么借鉴意义,依然是学界关心的问题。我们选择了中国和美国四所同类的、具有可比性的图书馆,通过实地采访、对比和分析的方法,发现美国的普通图书馆依然有很多我国普通图书馆值得学习的地方,例如服务全民化、服务多样化、服务人性化、服务资源多等。这些可资借鉴之处可以帮助我国普通图书馆查找自身建设的不足,为建设更高水平的现代化图书馆提供努力的方向。In recent years,the academic circles of our country have done much research work on the large libraries in large American cities,but the research work on the ordinary community libraries and the ordinary university libraries is still insufficient.However,these ordinary libraries constitute most of the libraries in the countries.What on earth are these libraries like and what referential significance do they have on the management of ordinary libraries in our country are still problems concerned by academic circles.We choose four congeneric and comparable libraries both in China and the United States to study with the research methods of on-the-spot interviews,comparison and analysis.It is found that there are still many places worth learning from the ordinary libraries in America,such as popular service,diversified service,humanized service,rich resource service,etc.These can be used for reference to help the general libraries in China to find its own management deficiencies so as to overcome them,and thus it’s helpful for the work of constructing a higher level modern library.
