摘　　要：直接引语是没有引入任何语法变化,直接阐述叙述者原句的一种写作方式,是文学作品的重要组成部分。本文以《综合英语—世界文学经典作品》中的世界经典文学作品为例,通过研究不同时代、背景、地域文学作品中直接引语的使用方式,探究直接引语在丰富人物性格、增强文学情感、提升艺术表达和深化作品主题等方面的功效。Direct speech is a way of writing that directly presents the narrator's actual language without introducing any grammatical changes.It is an important part of literary works.Taking the classic literary works of five continents as examples,the extensive use of direct speeches in works of different times and different backgrounds enriches the character,enhances the literary emotion,strengthens the artistic expression,and deepens the theme,making the works more vivid.
