摘　　要：“图案”产生于日本近代,是一个内生与外源的“暧昧”词,其转译至中国后,仍存多解和歧义。故而有必要正本清源。本文以书物学方法尝试进行本义与引申义的还原。首先,循省《温知图录》(1875),见揭“图案”源于明治时期之“美术振兴论”,初义指手工产品美术化的加工系统,是贯穿在系列博览会活动中的“设计觉醒”的组成部分。后来,通过模仿西方设计制图之法,在《一般图按法》(1909)中确立起了按照统一步骤完成设计的工艺美术技法概念。大正以后的“工艺美术技法”随着艺术至上主义兴起而被边缘化,有关记述见于《纳富介堂翁事迹》(1922)。昭和初年,以《杂器之美》(1927)为嚆引的“民艺美的发现”取代原来“美术之美”在工艺中的位置,民艺开始向设计渗透。The term“pattern”came into being in the modern time of Japan.It was an unclear term given meaning by internal and external sources.Ever after the introduction of this term into China,it is understood through multiple perspectives and contains divergent meanings.Thus,it is necessary to investigate the term and capture its original meaning.In this respect,the article attempts to identify the initial and extended meaning of this term based on the method of bibliographymaterial study,or in Chinese Shuwu Xue.It is indicated by the Onchi Pictorial Record(1875)that the term“pattern”was originated from the“art revitalization theory”in the Meiji Period.The initial meaning of it refers to the system of artistic refinement of handmade products.The term plays the role of a connecting thread in the sections of“design awake”in a series of expositions.Following this,the General Technique for pattern design(1909)then established the idea of arts and crafts techniques done by unified processes which was initiated by imitating the Western design and drawing method.After the TaishōPeriod,the“arts and crafts techniques”were gradually marginalized with the rise of the idea of art supremacy,as it evidenced in the Life Story of Notomi Kaido(1922).By the early Shōwa Period,prompted by the publishment of The Beauty of Miscellaneous Wares(1927),the“beauty revealed in folk art”replaced“beauty of the fine art”.Since then,the folk art started to permeate design.
