诗词中“田田”的意义与意象

摘　　要：“莲叶何田田”中“田田”应指“莲叶之盛”,其音义源与“真”声的“阗阗”“填填”“嗔嗔”组叠音词相同,与“田”自身的形体和引申义列无关,只是在形体上借用了“田”。“田田”表“盛貌”,在诗词中形容的对象较为广泛,既可以是莲叶、植物,还可以是香气和水势。The meaning and sound of Tiantina(田田)in the poetic sentence that depicts thriving lotus derives from a group of reduplications—“阗阗”“填填”“嗔嗔”—whose sound is similar to“真”.It just makes use of the character of田to record the sound,therefore,there is no relation with the image and the extensional meaning series of tian(田).Tiantina(田田)is widely used to describe different things in poems,likes lotus leaves,plants,fragrance and flow of water.
