基于语料库的英语专业四级完形填空内容效度研究——以2016—2019年试题为例

摘  要:以2016—2019年英语专业四级完形填空改革后试题为语料创建微型文本语料库,对比中国学习者英语语料库和美国当代英语语料库,结合语料库检索软件研究该测试内容效度。研究结果显示,英语专业四级完形填空所选文本的相关性与代表性基本符合考试调整说明;然而语料库检索词汇的使用频率和显著性检验结果表明,词库中存在考点设计典型性不强的现象,降低了命题的内容效度。今后命题者应从文章体裁、题材、易读度、词类、词汇难度等方面入手,增强试题命制的内容效度,并利用国内外权威语料库辅助英语测试。此外,教师也应掌握一定的测试理论,借助语料库提升测试的科学性以反哺教学。Based on four cloze tests of TEM-4 from 2016 to 2019,aim to investigate the content validity by comparing the data from the current micro corpus via Ant Conc 3.5.8,CLEC as well as COCA.The results show that its relevance and representativeness are basically consistent with the test adjusting instruction.However,from the findings of word usage frequency and significance test,the test design lacks typicality,which reduces its content validity to a certain extent.Text genres,themes,readability,word classes,lexical difficulty need to be considered and authoritative corpus at home and abroad can be employed to assist English testing,which helps to enhance the content validity of tests.Besides,teachers ought to master certain testing theory in order to improve the scientificalness of tests with the help of corpus and then promote teaching.
