摘　　要：美国作家赫尔曼·麦尔维尔小说代表作《白鲸》中的主人公亚哈是一个具有强烈复仇欲望的超级自恋者,他把自己当成了无所不能的神,世界必须按照他的意愿来运转,一旦意愿受挫,他就会在心中产生要摧毁世界的邪念。借助于海因茨·科胡特的自体心理学理论及其他心理学相关知识,对亚哈的自恋型人格障碍的特征、心路历程以及他最终复仇致死的原因展开分析,以期从中发现能带给小说读者的一些启示,引发读者进一步关注并重视健康人格塑造这类问题。Ahab,the protagonist of Moby Dick by Herman Melville,is a super narcissist with a strong desire for revenge. He regarded himself as an omnipotent God,and the world must operate according to his will. Once his will is frustrated,he will have the evil idea of destroying the world in his heart. With the help of Heinz Kohut’s self psychology and other related psychological knowledge,this paper attempts to analyze the narcissistic personality disorder of the protagonist Ahab,through the analysis of the characteristics of his narcissistic personality disorder,the psychological process,and the cause of his final revenge death,and finds the enlightenment that Ahab’s death brings to the readers,so as to arouse the readers’ attention to the problems of psychological narcissism and healthy personality.
