摘　　要：福克纳的《圣殿》将现实与虚构相融合,在暴力与哥特元素的掩映下借助多维度的伤残叙事透视社会的残损。本文采用残疾研究理论,将小说置于创作的特定社会语境中,从残疾隐喻出发审视美国法律制度的畸形表征,探讨优生学背景中旧南方与现代社会间的继承与矛盾碰撞,追踪残疾身份的反传统叙事所揭示的父系权威的消解,进而审视该作品传达的人文主义关怀。Mixing violent and gothic elements,William Faulkner’s Sanctuary combines reality and fiction to unveil social deficiencies by virtue of multi-dimensional disability narratives.Positioning the novel in its social contexts,this essay studies the multiple metaphorical meanings of disability in Sanctuary.Faulkner expresses his humanistic concerns,it argues,through representations of the American legal system,dramatizing the interconnected collision between the old South and modern society against the cultural background of eugenics,and by tracing the text’s anti-traditional narrative of disability in ways that bring into question the structures of patriarchy and authority.
