社会变体视角下人物解析——以《卖花女》为例

摘　　要：英国著名戏剧家萧伯纳的作品深受其所处的社会和时代影响,为更好地把握其代表作《卖花女》中主要人物形象,结合具体语境,以社会变体的两个层面——阶层变体和性别变体为理论视角,分析萧伯纳如何对社会变体进行灵活运用,以此来塑造剧中鲜活生动的人物形象。研究发现,不同语言变体的使用能够体现说话者不同的形象。社会阶层越高,发音越标准,反之发音则越受说话者自身地域变体的影响。同样,男性和女性在语言的使用上也存在着诸多差异。The works of George Bernard Shaw,a famous British dramatist,were deeply influenced by the society and times he lived in.In order to better grasp the main characters in his representative work Pygmalion,combined with the specific context,this paper analyzes how Bernard Shaw flexibly uses social varieties from the theoretical perspective of class-related varieties and gender varieties,so as to shape the vivid characters in the play.The study shows that people from different social class speak different language varieties.The higher the social class is,the more standard the pronunciation becomes.On the contrary,the pronunciation is more influenced by the speaker's own regional varieties.Similarly,the differences between men and women in language use are influenced by social factors.
