摘　　要：Elephant trackers are responsible for locating the herd of migrating elephants,tracking their activities,and sending out warnings when the herd approaches a village or densely populated area.They monitor movements of elephants around the clock and report locations every five minutes.Every moment on shift requires high alert regardless of rain or heat.Their timely efforts ensure the safety of both humans and elephants.The young team of“elephant trackers”is composed of members from the search and monitoring unit for wild Asian elephants of the Yunnan Provincial Forest and Firefighting Brigade(YPFFB).
