摘 要:文章从19世纪英帝国的视角出发,旨在通过对统计数据、史料档案、会议记录与报刊通讯等资料的深入研究,着重还原1834年这一全球茶叶贸易格局转折点的历史细节,结合历史背景剖析英帝国不同组织与集团的立场和关切。借助历史语境的重构,厘清19世纪30年代初茶叶贸易中东印度公司的垄断行为及其影响、英国散商的愤怒与诉求以及全球贸易竞争这三者间的动态关系和内在逻辑,以期为国内全球茶叶贸易与文化经济史研究提供新的视角和切入点。From the perspective of the British Empire,this article analyzed historical statistics,archives,records and communications in order to reconstruct the details of the 1834 turning point in the global tea trade.Analysis of the historical background showed the various agencies and organizations with miscellaneous concerns were involved.The reconstruction of its historical context helped sort out the dynamics and internal logic of the influence of the monopoly of the East India Company,the anger and demands of the free traders,and the rising global competition in that period.It was expected to offer some new thoughts to the Chinese tea trade and cultural economic studies.
