摘 要:绘本作为儿童的启蒙读物,面对的正是一个特殊的读者群体——“儿童”,因此,绘本的译者绝不可因其语言简单而把绘本翻译问题简单化,要本着以小读者为中心的思想,适时而变,运用多种翻译策略和技巧,创造出儿童读者能充分理解、易于接受并享受阅读的绘本译文。Variation theory,as a kind of wide translation theory,stresses the importance of reader-centered translation.Variational translation is to satisfy the specific needs of readers of all sorts.As picture books are enlightening reading materials for children,translators of picture books should not simplify the translation of picture books just because of the simple languages used in picture books but should make the Chinese version of the stories readable and enjoyable by using variational strategies to meet the specific needs of the specific readers——children.
