美国高校国际研究生评分膨胀的质性研究及启示——以威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校为例  

A Qualitative Study of International Graduate Students’ Grade Inflation in American Universities and its Implication:Case Study of University of Wisconsin-Madison

摘  要:评分膨胀作为高等教育大众化的产物,导致高等教育质量下降。通过对威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校国际研究生学业评分的质性研究发现,影响国际研究生学业分数的主要因素有:大学层面的课程和学术政策、学业支持政策、奖助学金政策,教师层面的评价自主性、评价模式、学评教,学生层面的学业基础、学业重心和个人努力。我国高校从中可以得到的借鉴是:提升教师课程教学的投入度,增强留学研究生课程授课教师学业评价的能力建设;稳步推进在华留学研究生与中国研究生学业评价趋同发展,坚守课程学习结果评价的质量标准;以"评"促学,激发留学研究生的学习主动性;完善留学研究生学业支持体系,压缩评分膨胀的空间。As the result of the popularization of higher education,grade inflation leads to the decline of the quality of higher education. Through the qualitative study of the international graduate academic score of the University of Wisconsin-Madison,it is found that the main factors affecting the international graduate academic score are curriculum and academic policy,academic support policy,and financial aid policy at university level,the evaluation automomy,evaluation mode and learning evaluation and teaching at the tearcher level and the academic foundation,academic focus and individual efforts at the student level. Chinese colleges and universities can get the following aspects of reference:(1)to enhance teachers’ investment in course teaching and enhance their ability of academic evaluation;(2)to steadily promote the convergence development of academic evaluation between graduate students studying in China and Chinese graduate students,and adhere to the quality standard of evaluation of learning results of courses;(3)to promote learning by“evaluating”and stimulate the learning initiative of overseas graduate students;and,(4)to improve the academic support system for overseas graduate students and reduce the space for grade inflation.
