从认知诗学视角解读《兔子,跑吧》

摘　　要：《兔子,跑吧》是美国当代文学大师约翰·厄普代克“兔子四部曲”中的第一部,他所刻画的美国青年“兔子”已经被列为当代美国文学中的经典人物。文章从认知诗学的角度出发,运用图形背景理论对《兔子,跑吧》中的两个重要意象“兔子”和“网”进行了解读,分析了“兔子”和“网”在文中的凸显及主题意义的建构,即无法调和的幻想与现实的矛盾。“Rabbit,Run”is the first of John Updike’s“Rabbit Tetralogy”.The American youth“rabbit”that he depicts has been listed as a classic figure in contemporary American literature.From the perspective of cognitive poetics,this paper uses the graphic background theory to interpret the two important images“rabbit”and“net”,and analyzes its prominence in the text and the construction of thematic significance,that is,the irreconcilable contradiction between fantasy and reality.
