系统功能理论视阀下的小说序言分析--以《暮光之城》为例

摘　　要：文中围绕哥特式小说《暮光之城》四部曲的序言进行语篇分析,旨在阐释该小说序言语句的及物性分布及其概念功能,分析哥特式小说序言存在的意义。本文的理论基础是韩礼德的系统功能语法,研究方法采用UAM corpus tool对语篇进行定量分析。结果显示,小说的序言主要包含物质过程、心理过程以及关系过程;研究发现,及物性的不同过程类型的运用不是随机的,而是有意识的设置,可以传达和反映每一个小句的意图和作者的巧思。研究对语篇进行及物性分析可以帮助读者全面批判地思考语篇所传达的含义。This study made a systemic functional discourse analysis of the prefaces of The Twilight Saga,aimed to explain the transitivity distribution and the ideational functions embodied in the sentences,so as to understand the significance of the existence of the preface of Gothic novels.Halliday’s Systemic Functional Grammar was applied as the theoretical framework of this study,and UAM Corpus Tool was used for quantitative analysis.The results showed that the prefaces mainly contained material process,mental process and relational process,and the application of different process types of transitivity was not random,but a conscious setting,which can convey and reflect the intention of each clause and the author’s intelligent thinking.Systemic Functional Grammar provides an effective means for discourse analysis,and the clever setting of discourse can ensure the correct transmission of connotation.A transitivity analysis of a text can help readers to think comprehensively and critically about the meaning conveyed by the text.
