摘　　要：喜饶嘉措大师不仅是我国近现代藏传佛教界杰出的学者,也是一位伟大的爱国主义者,被党和国家领导人称为“爱国老人”。文章从文化和历史两个维度来阐释喜饶嘉措大师爱国思想的形成基础,并对其历史功绩和现实意义等方面进行了阐释。dGe bshe Shes rab rGyal mtsho was an outstanding scholar and a great patriot in the field of Tibetan Buddhism in modem China.The leaders of the state and Communist Party of China praised him as the old patriot.This paper explains the foundation of dGe bshe Shes rab rGyal mtsho's patriotic thought in the views of culture and history,and clarifies his historical achievements and practical significance.
