应用型英语精英人才培养模式下语言能力培养策略的实证研究

摘　　要：相对于传统学术型英语专业,应用型英语专业具有其自身的特征。我们试图利用应用型的英语人才培养模式,培养出应用型的、业务精英型的英语类专业人才。通过我们的教学实验发现,实验组学习者在若干方面的表现要优于对照组的学习者。通过定量分析,我们发现新的培养模式确实在语言能力培养方面取得了进展。通过假设检验,我们确认实验组学习者所取得的进步并非偶然因素获得,新的培养模式确实影响到了学习者的语言能力。通过研究,我们发现应用型英语精英人才培养模式是应对高校英语专业同质化的策略之一。在此种教育模式下的学习者可能具有若干特征,语言能力的显著提高是其中之一。Compared with the traditional academic English major,an applied English major may have its features.With this new approach,we aim to cultivate a new kind of English majors featured by being applicable,and being“elite”in practice.After our experiment,the English majors in our experimental group performed better in various aspects than the ones in the control group.By quantitative analysis,we found that we made some progress in terms of language competence building.Through hypothesis testing,we may infer that the result of our experiment is not obtained accidentally,but by our new cultivating approach.With the aid of this study,it may be inferred that the practical elite English education approach is an option for the problem of the homogenization of English majors in colleges.Among the features of the students under this approach of education,the improvement of language competence can be evidently observed.
