摘  要:1857年,波德莱尔因出版《恶之花》引起轩然大波,被告上法庭。法庭从社会道德出发,认为波德莱尔对恶作了如实的描述,从而冒犯了公共道德。后世的批评家则往往倾向于区分艺术和社会道德。通过对波德莱尔诗歌艺术特点的分析以及对波德莱尔“恶”的多种含义的探讨,可以得出:波德莱尔坚持审美高于道德,并最终形成对美的崇拜,而从波德莱尔的作品看,对美的崇拜最终会走向厌倦。In 1857,Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil(Les fleurs du mal)caused an uproar,and he was sued for that.The court argued from social morality that Baudelaire had offended public morality by giving a realistic description of evil.Critics of later generations,on the other hand,tend to distinguish art and social morality.By analyzing the artistic characteristics of Baudelaire’s poetry and exploring the various meanings of Baudelaire’s“evil”,it can be concluded that Baudelaire insisted on the supremacy of aesthetics over morality,and eventually formed the cult of beauty.However,the works of Baudelaire showed that such cult of beauty would eventually bring about ennui.
