移民题材的诱惑与陷阱:以郁秀的“小留学生”小说为例

摘　　要：继《太阳鸟》之后,郁秀继续创作美华新移民题材小说逾十年之久,着力描写未成年即随父母赴美的华人“小留学生”的成长故事,然而,这些作品既未作为大众文学赢得市场成功,也无法作为合格的美华移民文学,得到学术界的关注。探究郁秀近年来创作无法成功的多重原因,可以进一步明辨移民题材书写的现实意义与丰富素材的“诱惑”,以及“人性论”书写的“陷阱”,从而对当代移民文学的创作及批评理念有所反思。After her Sunbirds,Yu Xiu went on to write fiction featuring the themes of Chinese-American migrants for over ten years,focussing on the story of growing-up of the young students who went with their parents to America as minors.However,these works as pop literature have not won market success nor have they caught attention from the academic world as they won’t qualify as Chinese-American migrant literature.An exploration of multiple reasons for Yu Xiu’s inability to achieve success in recent years reveals the realistic significance of the writing of the migrant theme,the seduction of the rich material and the pitfall of writing about human nature.Hence reflections on the creation of contemporary migrant literature and critical concepts.
