摘  要:本研究基于活动理论视角,采用叙事探究方法考察高校英语经验教师专业发展的能动性表现形式及影响因素。通过对我国高校两位英语教师访谈和非正式交流,运用演绎编码和归纳编码的方法对研究数据进行分析,结果发现:高校英语经验教师专业发展主要表现为主动改变和积极学习来克服其专业发展活动系统中的多重矛盾;教师信念、人际关系和机构支持等因素促进教师能动性发挥。Conceptualizing agency through the lens of activity theory, this narrative inquiry investigates how two experienced English teachers exercise their agency to pursue professional development and what factors mediate the exercise of their agency.Data has been collected by means of interviews and informal communication and then analyzed by a synthesis of deductive coding and inductive coding. The study demonstrates that these two experienced English teachers enact agency through active adjustment and active learning to overcome the contradictions in the activity system of professional development. A number of mediational factors have been found to account for their agency including teachers’ beliefs,social relationship and institutional support.
