Objective To explore and analyze the expression of MicroRNA-342(miR-342)and FOXP1 mRNA in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and the clinical significance. Methods The expression levels of miR-342 and FOXP1 mRNA in tumor and peritumoral tissues of 58 HCC patients were detected by real-time quantitative PCR.The difference and correlation were analyzed. Results The miR-342 expression level in tumor tissues was significantly lower than that in peritumoral tissues, and the FOXP1 mRNA expression level was significantly higher than that in peritumoral tissues(P<0.05).The expression level of miR-342 in tumor tissues was negatively correlated with FOXP1 mRNA(P<0.05).Conclusions In HCC,the miR-342 expression decreases, while the FOXP1 mRNA increases.miR-342 may be a suppressor for HCC.
