On the Origin, Development and Deepening of the Concept of "Bourgeois" in the Chinese Translation of the Manifesto of the Communist Party

摘　　要："资产阶级"(bourgeoisie)是《共产党宣言》中的核心词汇。从1920年《宣言》首个汉语全译本到最新的中央编译局系统化的定译本,表达"资产阶级"之意的译词经过了多次调整。从最初的"有产者""有产阶级""绅商""财主""富豪""资本家"等,到后来固定为"资产者""资产阶级",体现出中国共产党人在译介经典著作时,既忠实于原文、又关照中国发展现实的基本特征。结合中国的革命实践和社会主义现代化建设,认识马克思主义核心概念中国化的基本经验和规律,可以更加深入地了解这一概念如何以话语的形式参与创造了历史,也有助于提炼中国化马克思主义的基本经验,建构精准阐释中国道路的话语体系。"Bourgeoisie" is a core concept in the Manifesto of the Communist Party. From the first complete Chinese translation of the Manifesto of the Communist Party published in 1920 to the latest proofread version by the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau, the translation of the concept "bourgeois" has been changed several times, from the initial "youchanzhe"( "the man owning property"), "youchanjieji"( "proprietary class"), "shenshang"( "Gentry and Merchants"), "caizhu"( "rich man"), "fuhao"( "plutocrat"), "zibenjia"( "capitalist"), etc., to fixed translation of "zichanzhe"( "bourgeois") and "zichanjieji"( "bourgeoisie"). It reflects the basic characteristics that, in their translating and introducing the classic work, how the Chinese communists have endeavored not only to convey the concept faithful to the original text, but also to connect it to reality of China’s development. By combining with China’s practice of revolution and the socialist modernization;and understanding the basic experience and ways of sinicization of the core concepts of Marxism, we can have a deeper understanding of how the concept of bourgeoisie have participated in the process of making history, which will help to refine the basic experience of sinicized Marxism, and construct a discourse system for accurate interpretation of the Chinese road.
