摘　　要：多义词是指一个词具有两个或两个以上的意义,义项之间的具有概念方面或历史方面的的联系,其中,认知隐喻思维是多义词词义演变的重要方式。在英语多义词教学中,要培养学生的隐喻思维能力,并将之运用于是词汇教学,从而提高英语多义词学习效果。Polysemy refers to a word with two or more meanings that are related conceptually or historically,and the metaphorical thinking is one of the most important ways for the extension of polysemic words.In the teaching of English polysemous words,it is necessary to cultivate students metaphorical thinking ability and put it into use in the vocabulary learning to improve the teaching of English polysemous words.
