摘　　要：岳麓书院是我国古代著名书院,具有典范意义。它在中国传统文化中的地位和影响主要表现在教育、学术和社会政治三个方面。它是古代湖南地区的最高学府,曾是天下书院之首,历代都有大师在此执教讲学;它是理学南传后最先成熟起来并盛行一时的湖湘学派传承发展的基地;它培养人才不计其数,一批又一批胸怀天下的经世致用之才,深刻地影响了中国社会政治的发展路向。这三方面相辅相成,以其内在精神的一贯性,支撑着岳麓书院走过千年的风雨历程而历久弥新。Yuelu Academy is a famous academy in ancient China,which is of examplary significance.Its position and influence in traditional culture are mainly reflected in education,learning,society and politics.It has been the highest institution of learning in Hunan and the most famous academy in our country since ancient times.Great scholars gave lectures here in all dynasties.It was the base for the inheritance and development of the Huxiang School,which was the first to mature after the spread of neo-confucianism to the south.It cultivated countless talents,and the groups of talents who care deeply about the society and have the ability of governance have deeply influenced the development direction of Chinese society and politics.The three aspects complement each other and support Yuelu Academy through a thousand year of wind and rain Yuelu Academy exists robustly with the consistency of its inner spirits.
