摘　　要：英国应用语言学研究相对繁荣的基础是它对社会民生的回应与关切,具体表现为:研究课题来源于现实社会,研究成果服务于民生问题,研究视角根植于日常生活,研究范式科学严谨,具有鲜明的科学性、现实性和批判性特征。这也给中国的应用语言学研究带来三点启示:一是要扎根本土,从中国的语言生活和语言现实出发生成研究课题;二是要力求研究成果真正服务于现实社会,切实解决民生问题;三是要运用批判性思维观察当下的语言生活,科学严谨地分析日常语言的幽微之处,更新对语言本质的认识,努力开拓语言研究的新领域。The applied linguistics research relative prosperity is based on scientific research and its response to the social livelihood of the people concerned,the manifestation as the research subject from the real society,research results in the service of the people’s livelihood problem,research perspective is rooted in daily life,scientific and rigorous research paradigm,to carefully study style,is a scientific,practical and critical features.It brings three inspirations to the study of applied linguistics in China.First,it is necessary to take root in China and generate research topics from the language life and language reality in China.Second,strive for research results to truly serve the real society,to solve the livelihood of the people;Third,we should use critical thinking to observe the current language life,scientifically and rigorously analyze the subtle points of daily language,update our understanding of the nature of language,and strive to open up new fields of language research.
