摘  要:本文探讨在新时代“一带一路”的国家发展战略下和新文科背景下,高校外语教学的中国文化转向及外语教师所应承担的历史责任和文化使命。外语教师要切实认识到目前英语教学应转向以中国文化输出为核心目标,改变传统外语教学中过于重视外国文化单方面输入的倾向,实现英语教学的中国文化转向,这种转向要体现在英语教学中的课程设置和人才培养方案上,以及英语教师的职业培训和发展上。高校外语教师要承担起中国文化输出的重任:要加强自身的文化自觉;秉持文化创新意识;探索中国文化融入英语教学的策略;探索培养大学生文化自信的策略,从而为国家培养中西合璧、具有国际视野的复合型人才,加强中国文化在世界文化中的文化话语权。The New Era of implementing“the Belt and Road Initiative”has posed new challenges as well as great opportunities to foreign language education in China.To promote economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and the western world and to enhance China’s national image,English teachers in universities are required to enhance their Chinese cultural awareness in foreign language education,shifting English teaching from its focus on the teaching of foreign cultures to a focus on the imparting of Chinese culture in terms of its curriculum design,cultivation of English talents and teachers’professional training and development.The Chinese culture turn in foreign language education makes it imperative that English teachers enhance their profound understanding of Chinese culture and foreign cultures,their critical acceptance of Western cultures,their devotion to Chinese cultural innovation,and their exploration of incorporating Chinese culture into the teaching practice as well as strategies to enhance undergraduates’cultural competency.English teachers should shoulder their cultural mission:cultivating English talents with understanding of Chinese culture,exporting Chinese culture to the world,enhancing its status and role in world cultures,thereby promoting the peace development of the whole world by virtue of great Chinese culture.
