超验主义视阈下的爱默生美学思想探析

摘　　要：拉尔夫.爱默生是19世纪30年代美国文艺复兴时期的超验主义思想家。超验主义追求自然的精神价值和道德审美价值,倡导人与自然的和谐美、理性美和道德美,奠定了爱默生美学思想的基础。本文在梳理爱默生美学思想与西方古典美学思想的渊源的基础上,探讨了它的思想内涵及其对美国文化和文学独立的影响,并得出结论:爱默生美学思想坚持人与自然和谐共生的理念,注重自然在人的道德修养方面的引领作用,并强调自立和创新,标志着美国文学和文化的独立。Ralph Emerson was a transcendentalist thinker in American Renaissance in the 1930s.Transcendentalism is the cornerstone of Emerson’s aesthetics,pursuing nature’s spiritual value and aesthetic value of morality and preaching the aesthetics of harmony,rationality and morality between man and nature.Based on the bond between Western classical aesthetics and Emerson’s aesthetic thought,the present paper explores the connotation of Emerson's aesthetic thought and its influence upon the independence of American culture and literature,and concludes that Emerson’s aesthetic thought follows the idea of harmony between man and nature,focusing on nature*s leading role in the cultivation of human morality and stressing self-reliance and innovation,which marks the independence of American culture and literature.
