In order to verify whether there is a strong correlation between the residential space structure and social structure, based on the data of dynamic monitoring of floating population in Beijing by the National Health and Family Planning Commission in 2013,taking the community as the research scale, using the methods of principal component analysis and cluster analysis, this paper makes a systematic analysis on the influencing factors, types and degree, and the causes of differentiation of the living space of floating population in Beijing. It is found that education and household registration are the core variables that affect the living space differentiation of the floating population in Beijing.People with "college degree and above" and "non-agricultural household registration" will choose one kind of community type, while people with lower education and agricultural household registration will choose different community types. The residential space differentiation phenomenon is significant. It proves that there is a strong correlation between residential space and social structure. Therefore,in the existing residential situation, social policy should be adjusted from two aspects:household registration and education,so as to guide the floating population to integrate into the urban society orderly.
