基于语言实践的美国语言政策研究

摘　　要：语言实践是语言政策制定和研究的根本。本文首先采用民族志方法,并依照语言管理域分类,对笔者所观察到的美国多语实践进行描述;然后分析美国语言政策三成分各自的特点以及它们间的相互关系;最后解读美国语言政策的两大核心特点——“唯英语”的单语同化政策和多语教育政策貌似对立、实则统一的关系。Owing to the fact that language practice(LP)is the basis of language policy making and study,this paper is,by ethnographical approach,firstly to describe LPs in the USA,and then to figure out features of and interrelationship among the three USA language policy elements,and finally to illuminate the seemingly adversarial and interdependent relationship between English-Only policy and multilingual foreign language education policy in the USA.
