基于跨模式类比语料库的汉英口译词汇特征研究

摘　　要：本文基于自建新型跨模式汉英会议口译语料库,选用语料库翻译学中常用的词汇参数对交替传译、同声传译和原创英语口语文本的词汇特征进行类比考察。研究结果显示,汉英交传与同传的译语词汇特征无显著性差异,意味着口译文本的词汇特征可能对口译模式的变化并不敏感。此外,两类口译文本的词汇特征相较于原创英语口语呈现出总体一致的复杂化趋势,与翻译共性研究中的"简化"假设不符。我们认为,语境差异、修辞偏好和原语因素等是造成口译英语不如原创英语简洁的潜在原因。鉴于当下研究者所用的口译语料库规模普遍不大,不同口译模式对口译产出的影响仍待大样本的后续研究予以验证。Using a newly-built inter-modal corpus containing interpreted(including both consecutive and simultaneous interpretations from Chinese)and non-interpreted English speech data,this paper investigates the influence of different oral production modes on lexical features of their outputs.The results show no significant difference between the outputs of consecutive interpreting(CI)and simultaneous interpreting(SI),suggesting that the lexical patterns of interpreted texts may not be sensitive to the variation in interpreting mode.In addition,lexical features of CI and SI outputs show a highly consistent trend of complexity compared to the original English speeches,contradicting the hypothesized universal of"simplification"in corpus-based translation studies.Given the nature and limited size of our data in the present research,the findings have yet to be verified by further studies involving the use of larger number of interpreted texts.Furthermore,the potential effects of contextual variables,rhetorical conventions and delivery features of the source language on the product of interpreting merit more attention in future corpus-based interpreting studies.
