渡尽劫波,格律归来——1895-1928年雪莱诗歌翻译的描写性研究

摘　　要：鸦片战争后西学东渐,翻译文学极度繁荣。清末民初中国文学完成了从传统到现代的蜕变,伴随中国新文学的起步,中国新诗运动也蓬勃发展。1895-1928年间的雪莱诗歌翻译事件的描写性研究真实反映了这一特殊历史背景下,中西文化交锋中的双方力量消长和雪莱译诗的文化走向。文学革命前,目的语诗歌传统完胜;文学革命后,目的语诗歌传统尽失,原语诗歌影响崭露头角;1924-1928年,新旧传统交替前行,雪莱译诗完成了文学革命前式微的文言古诗到革命文学前夜圆润的白话新诗的华丽转身。源语文化和译入语文化最终达成一致:格律回,面孔新。Translated literature began to become extremely prosperous after western learning embarked on its way to the East after the Opium War.At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,Chinese literature completed the transformation from classism to modernity.With the start of Chinese new literature,the Chinese new poetry movement flourished as well.The descriptive study of Shelley’s poem translation events from 1895 to 1928 truly demonstrates the growth and decline of the forces of both sides in the confrontation between Chinese and Western cultures and the cultural trend of translation of Shelley’s poetry against this special historical background.Before the literary revolution,the target language poetry tradition obtained a full triumph;after the literary revolution,the target language poetry tradition was totally lost,and the influence of the original language poetry emerged;during the period between 1924 and 1928,translation of Shelley’s poems gorgeously completed the transition from declining classical Chinese poems before the literary revolution to the mellow vernacular new poems on the eve of revolutionary literature.Both cultures of the source language and the target language finally reached a compromise:the metrical patterns return,yet with a foreign face.
