摘　　要：戴维·洛奇的小说《好工作》中对于空间的细致刻画是小说成功的重要因素。通过使用三种空间结构形式,即连续的空间、彼此中断的异质空间以及不能沟通的异质空间,洛奇完成对背景城市“卢密奇”的整体性构建,刻画了具有鲜明阶级属性及性别属性的异质空间。此外,与经典工业小说互文,实现了文本之间穿越异质空间的对话。三种空间构成了小说的故事空间,戏剧化地再现了英国工业资本主义和传统人文主义两种文化之间的冲突。A detailed depiction of space greatly contributes to the success of Nice Work by David Lodge.By employing three-category frames,namely,spatial continuum,inconsistent frames and inaccessible frames,Lodge completed the global construct of Rummidge,a fictional city as the setting of his campus novels,endowing the inconsistent frames with distinctive class and gender attributes.Intertextuality with classic industrial novels led to intertextual communication between inaccessible frames possible.The three categories of frames constitute the space of story in the novel which unfolds a dramatic representation of the cultural conflicts between English industrial capitalism and traditional humanism.
