摘 要:“历史结合点”的提出,是萧萐父先生在继承侯外庐“早期启蒙说”基础上的进一步深化,其现实关怀是寻找中国近代以来历史转型的内在理路和根据。他认为,中国现代化建设只有与传统中已经萌发了的具有现代文化意蕴的思想精神结合,才能让现代文明在本民族的土壤上生根开花结果。这种认识既克服了历史虚无主义,又立足现代接引传统,是后发现代化国家积极融入世界的一种自觉意识和能动性选择。今天在弘扬传统文化的热潮里,尊重传统固然重要,但是如果放弃现代性维度而一味“返本”,不仅在认识上是一种倒退,事实上也可能因隔断传统通向现代的路径而丧失历史机遇。故在传统向现代转型问题上,笔者认同侯、萧二先生的观点,并尝试从“看世界、续香火、接地气”三个维度进行分析。The proposal of“historical convergence”was Xiao Jiefu’s(1924-2008)further deepening on the basis of inheriting Hou Wailu’s(1903-1987)“Early Enlightenment Theory”,and his practical concern was to find the internal theoretical path and basis for China’s historical transformation since modern times.He believed that only when China’s modernization construction was combined with the ideology and spirit that had germinated in the tradition,but with modern cultural connotations,could modern civilization take root and blossom and bear fruit on the soil of China.This understanding not only avoided historical nihilism,but also inherited tradition on the basis of modernity.It is a self-consciousness and dynamic choice for late modernizing countries to actively integrate into the world.Today,in the upsurge of developing traditional culture,although it is important to respect tradition,if we abandon the dimension of modernity and blindly“return to the origin”,it will not only be a retrogression in knowledge,but also may lose the historical opportunity due to cutting off the path from tradition to modernity.Therefore,on the issue of transformation from tradition to modernity,this paper agrees with the views of Hou and Xiao and tries to analyze in the three dimensions of“looking at the world,inheriting tradition,and adaptation to local conditions”.
