摘　　要：伊维德教授热衷于话本、杂剧、戏曲、女性文学、民间传说等中国俗文学的考证、论述与翻译工作,主张结合编者动机、评论人视角、文学文体演变、表演场景等综合考察中国俗文学传统。文章聚焦于伊维德教授对于西方中国戏曲、话本与说书研究的述评,对于俗文学作品创作背景、版本、主题、翻译等的辩证,以及对于杂剧、诸宫调、平话等文学形式的见解,以为管窥国外中国俗文学研究及译介,传播及弘扬中国俗文学遗产,尽一己微薄之力。Wilt L.Idema attaches great importance to collaboration, dissection and translation of Huaben, Zaju, plays, female literature, folk legends and other popular literature. He argues for exploring China’s folk tradition in combination with compilers’ motivation, professionals’ perspective, literary genre development and performance scenes, etc. This paper focuses on his comment on overseas studies on and translations of Chinese plays, Huaben and storytelling, appraisals of background, versions, subjects and translations of popular literature as well as views on such literary genres as Zaju, Zhugongdiao and Pinghua to the benefit of carrying forward the rich Chinese popular literature heritage.
