“There be”存在句there功能计量研究

摘　　要：把信息量、冗余度作为度量指标,对There+VP1+NP1+AP1(结构a)与同义结构AP2+VP2+NP2(结构)①进行对比计量分析。通过对英国国家语料库(BNC)中两种结构的存在句进行检索、计算和分析,研究发现,there位于句首的优势是there的信息量小,符合大脑加工、组织信息时的一个规律:由简单到复杂;there是冗余信息,能使存在句的冗余度增大,当其位于句首时,能把高信息量NP1对受者的影响冲淡,使理解难度降低;在BNC语料库中绝大部分结构b只出现在书面文体中。最后采取问卷调查,从而佐证研究结论。Based on the amount of information and the redundancy as measurement indicators,the reseirch make a to comparision between There+VP1+NP1+AP1(structure■)and the synonymous structure AP2+VP2+N P2(structure■).The both existential structures in the British National Corpus(BNC)are searched,calculated and analyzed.the findings are:the advantages of‘there’at the beginning of existential sentences is that its amount of information is small,which conforms to the rule of brain processing information:from simple to complex;‘there’can increase the redundancy of existential sentences because it locates at the beginning of existential sentences and can dilute the impact of NP1’s high amount of information for the recipient and reduce the difficulty of understanding;Most of the structureb in the BNC corpus only appear in the written style.Finally,a questionnaire was adopted to confirm these conclusions.
