试论刘子健对王安石及其新政的研究——以《宋代中国的改革:王安石及其新政》为中心

摘　　要：刘子健整合了既有王安石研究中各种兼容性阐释,以独到的问题意识翻上一层,运用了跨学科研究方法,对王安石及其新政进行了独辟蹊径的研究。他首先探讨了王安石作为"杰出的思想家"的层面,指出新政的理想是通过改革官僚体制进而改善社会风俗,最终实现道德社会。然后,他对官僚队伍区分不同类型,研究了各种类型官僚在变法、反变法与后变法的不同时期的政治表现;结合"吏役次官僚制"与募役法的个案剖析,深刻揭示了新政改革堕落为弊政的必然结果。以王安石及其新政为中心的研究,是刘子健宋代士大夫政治研究序列的关键一环,达到了批判性人文研究的高标准,也为更深入的探索建立了新起点。James Tze-chien Liu integrated the various compatible interpretations of existing Wang Anshi studies and achieved innovation with a unique sense of the problems.He used an interdisciplinary approach which provided an original study of Wang Anshi and his new policies.First,he discussed Wang Anshi as an"outstanding thinker"and pointed out that the ideal of the new politics was to improve social customs by reforming the bureaucratic system and ultimately to achieve a moral society.Then,he distinguished different types of bureaucracies and analyzed the political performance of various types of bureaucrats in the different periods of the Reformation,Anti-Reformation,and PostReformation.He combined the case study of the"sub-bureaucratic system of officials"and the Conscription Law,profoundly revealing the inevitable result of the degeneration of the new political reform into bad policies.The study centered on Wang Anshi and his new politics is a key link in the sequence of James Tze-chien Liu’s study of scholarofficials politics in Song dynasty which reached a high standard of critical humanistic research and established a new beginnings for more in-depth exploration.
