摘  要:Diabetic cardiomyopathy(DCM),a leading cause of morbidity and mortality,is a diabetes-related complication characterized by myocardial fibrosis,left ventricular(LV)hypertrophy,and compromised cardiac function[1].Citronellal(CT;Fig.1A)is a monoter-pene aldehyde primarily produced by the secondary metabolism of plants.It is a non-racemic mixture of R and S enantiomers obtained from bergamot and citronella oil[2].
