摘　　要：Ma Maojie,86,a witness to and participant in the Peopled Liberation Armyfs(PLA)campaign to cross the Yangtze River in 1949,became one of the 29 recipients of the July 1 Medal on June 29,2021.The medal was presented by Chinese President Xi Jinping,also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission,during a grand ceremony in Beijing.Mafs story of helping PLA soldiers cross the Yangtze River-in a hail of bullets and mortar shells,to liberate Nanjing from Kuomintang forces-was read during the ceremony.2021年6月29日上午10时,伴随着简短却铿锵有力的颁奖词,习近平总书记将“七一勋章”戴在了马毛姐的胸前。从旧中国走过来的马毛姐,见证了从“百万雄师过大江”到全面建成小康社会的历史巨变。“跟着共产党走,未来一定会更美好!”说这话时,86岁的老人眼神中的坚定,一如72年前那个14岁的渡江小英雄。
