女性的自我追寻之路——《逃离》中意象的认知诗学解读

摘　　要：《逃离》是诺贝尔文学奖获得者加拿大女作家爱丽丝·门罗2004年发表的短篇小说,故事中的女主人公卡拉因对目前生活不满以及对不同生活的向往选择了逃离,但出逃之后又选择了回归。文章从认知诗学视角下的偏离、图形—背景等角度分析作品中各种精妙的意象,挖掘这些意象背后所隐含的主题信息:卡拉的出逃与回归源于她对自我身份的焦虑,一逃一返之间蕴含的是女性对自我身份可能性的探寻。逃离过后的回归不是反抗过后的沉寂和对生活的妥协,而是女性在自我追寻过程中对生活新的认识和思考,以及对未来生活做出的另一种慎重的选择。“Runaway”is a short story written by the Nobel literature winner,Canadian female writer Alice Munro.The hostess Carla chooses to run away from the present life for the discontent and yearning for different life,however,ends with return.This thesis intends to analyze various subtle images from the perspective of deviation and figure-ground,then digs out the motif information behind.Both the runaway and return of Carla have close relation with her identity anxiety.What is implied between escaping and returning is women’s exploration of the possibility of self-identity.The return after runaway is not the silence and compromise of women after resistance but the new reflection on life as well as a careful choice and outlet for future life.
